The Raspini brand name was born in the immediate post-war period. Starting out with a small store in Via Pietrapiana, Giovanna and Franco Ferrini began with the ambitious slogan La scarpa che fa epoca (The shoe that marks an epoch...).
In a very short time, Raspini footwear became a great success thanks to the mastery and care for detail of Florentine artisans. The store was moved to the centre of the city in Via Martelli, only two steps away from the Duomo. Seven years later, Raspini inaugurated a second store in Via Roma, in Palazzo Ciompi, one of the most beautiful corners of the city. In the seventies, in addition to footwear and accessories, men and womens clothing appeared designed by young stylists, one of whom was the now famous Giorgio Armani.
At the end of the seventies, another store opened, this time in Via Por Santa Maria, always with the most interesting window displays and famous national and international designer brands. In spite of the change of the times and styles, Raspini has accepted the challenge of the third millennium, with a continuous evolution in the field of good taste and top-quality fashion. |
